2nd Children's Chamber Music Course

On 8 November 2025

The 2nd chamber music course for children (the first took place in 2023) again met with a great response. Particularly pleasing this time was the variety of instruments registered. That surprised our kind and highly committed tutor Rose Chen too: alongside the expected instruments such as piano, violin, flute and clarinet, there were also a harp, an oboe, the guitar and the trombone.

The instrumental teachers, who had prepared the pieces with the pupils over a long period in their lessons, thus contributed substantially to the success of the course. Particular thanks are due to Ms Susanne Jutz-Miltschitzky for forming and organising the ensembles and for the good distribution of the pieces.

And so the closing recital in the gallery rooms of the Erich-Schickling-Stiftung was once again a complete success, with a large audience of families and friends of the young musicians. At the end, everyone received a certificate of participation and a peacock feather.

Ms Rose Chen too was thoroughly satisfied with the musical achievements and with the wonderful commitment of the children and their parents and teachers.

Without the personal dedication of our educational support team, Dagmar and Michael Trieb as well as Ms Sakina Schweers, this course too would not have been possible. Thank you!

The recital had two further highlights as a supporting programme:

At the beginning, Tabita Heinzmann played a virtuoso concerto movement by Vivaldi on the sopranino flute; the closing item was performed with bravura by the violin duo Isabel Schuster and Viktoria Lukschandel.
