2nd Children's Chamber Music Course

This year we devoted ourselves to music born of the strength to resist unfreedom and oppression.

23rd Eggisrieder Seminar for Music and Transcendence

This year's anniversary programme of the Erich Schickling Stiftung came to a close with the long-established "Eggisrieder Seminar for Music and Transcendence". For the 23rd time, music students and professional musicians came together to reflect on topics of music history, on the intellectual-historical and cross-arts backgrounds of the music being heard, and for thematically framed performances. This year the seminar was devoted to the theme "Jewish Roots of Music".

To mark the 100th birthday of Erich Schickling (1924-2012), his work was brought together under the motto “Werke-Wirken-Licht” in an illustrated volume, which has now been presented at the Erich-Schickling-Stiftung.

Illustrated volume „WERKE - WIRKEN - LICHT“

To mark the 100th birthday of the artist Erich Schickling (1924 - 2012), an illustrated volume has been published for the first time, reproducing his most important stained-glass window cycles and altar mosaics as well as his painting and architecture in outstanding illustrations.

Palm Sunday

In demanding weather conditions we were able to open our anniversary programme with Palm Sunday. As if by chance - something falling to us - it came about that the event “Lichtspuren zum Ostermorgen” was moved from Augsburg to Eggisried.

Audio Guide Project

In the anniversary year we would like to help visitors find their way around the grounds of the Erich Schickling Stiftung with an audio guide. To finance it, we have registered this project with the crowdfunding platform of the Genobank Unterallgäu.

Better Together! Chamber Music Course for Children
