The Circle of Friends of the Erich Schickling Stiftung e.V.

In order to preserve the Erich Schickling Stiftung as a place of art and of cultural and religious education and encounter, and to keep it accessible, distinguished figures from art, culture and politics joined together in 1998 to form the "Förderkreis der Erich-Schickling-Stiftung e.V.". To draw near to the divine mystery of creation through beauty was always Erich Schickling's greatest longing. In this spirit he and his wife kept an open house for friends and visitors from the very beginning. The events of the Circle of Friends and the Foundation carry this tradition forward, supported by artists and speakers working on a voluntary basis. The Circle of Friends serves solely the interests of the Erich Schickling Stiftung and supports its work financially and in spirit. Alongside talks, concerts, readings and seminars, this also includes the issuing of documentation and publications of the pictures and texts.

Become a supporting member of the Erich Schickling Stiftung too

Members of the Circle of Friends receive the invitations to the events, the newsletters and the Foundation's documentation. For events at the Foundation you usually pay reduced admission. With an annual membership fee of €25 you are a member of the Circle of Friends; an additional supporting contribution is at your discretion.
