Palm Sunday

In demanding weather conditions we were able to open our anniversary programme with Palm Sunday. As if by chance - something falling to us - it came about that the event “Lichtspuren zum Ostermorgen” was moved from Augsburg to Eggisried. This continued a long-standing tradition with which, in the Foundation's earlier years, Erwin Holzbaur, Antonie and Christian Schneider and Dr Hermann Haisch attuned us to the season of Passiontide and Easter.

Despite the cold, the wind and the paths softened by winter, around 40 guests gathered to listen to the profound words and thoughts of Prof. Dr Lydia Maidl on the art of Erich Schickling and to the heartfelt violin playing of Francesca Rappay, following the Lichtspuren in the house chapel (Easter window), in the event hall (Easter morning picture), before the sun sculpture and in the gallery building before the “Traum von Pickau”

Just as our chairman Michael Trieb, together with his wife Dagmar and his mother Dorothea, strides briskly towards the programme now opened, so we wish you, dear members, dear visitors, an encouraging path towards Easter and on into what is to come!
