The art historian begins by explaining, using selected examples, the technique of mosaic glass painting, which literally transforms light through glass, and the technique of reverse glass painting, which gives the painted pictures a special radiance.
In addition, the pictures address key thematic areas that show Schickling's engagement with the connection between Christian and mythological themes.
