Cymbals, triangle, bass drum - with Mozart they rarely have a solo moment. But there are the moments when classical music really does bang the drum. Pure exoticism to the ears of Mozart's contemporaries! Even today, percussionists are still often the exotic figures of the concert world. That is the point at which classical music and the present day meet in this project. The "MozartExotikum" was created as a commissioned work for the Mozartfest Würzburg 2023. The result is a sounding tableau of tape playbacks and live music, in which exoticism from the past and the present come together. https://www.leonie-klein.net/
