Kaddish - a matinee on Jewish themes with the duo Verena Stei, cello, and Marcus McLaren, piano.
In Aramaic and Hebrew, Kaddish simply means: holy. As the highest praise of God, it is one of the most important and most heartfelt Jewish prayers, also in the face of death. The concert opens with Maurice Ravel's setting of the Kaddish. Works by Ernest Bloch, Felix Mendelssohn and Max Bruch follow.
Admission 20 €, for members of the Circle of Friends 15 €
