Concert by the piano class of Prof. Aleksandra Mikulska.

Anniversary tour of the Sächsisches Landesgymnasium für Musik Dresden

The Polish pianist Aleksandra Mikulska has been professor of piano at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden since 2021. There she also mentors the young pianists of the special school for the highly gifted, whom she not only accompanies on their anniversary tour but also performs with.

The programme consists above all of early works by Frédéric Chopin composed for solo piano and orchestra, such as his Variations in B flat major op. 2 on the theme "La ci darem la mano" from Mozart's Don Giovanni, then the Grand Fantasy on Polish Airs op. 13 and the Rondo à la Krakowiak op. 14. Aleksandra Mikulska herself takes the orchestral part at the 2nd piano, with which she accompanies her students.

In the 2nd part of the concert, which is also presented by Aleksandra Mikulska, she plays Chopin's 2nd Piano Concerto in F minor as soloist.

Admission 20 €, members of the Circle of Friends 15 €, young people 10 €
