Ruth Atzinger - artistic diploma in jazz singing at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague - writes songs about life, about the small and large moments of happiness and failure. Lyrically cheerfully detached and self-ironic, taking neither the one nor the other swing of existence too seriously. Musically, her sound sits somewhere between jazz, pop, funk and bossa nova. Ruth Atzinger is accompanied on drums by Jürgen Volz. The musical programme is enriched by spoken word from the storyteller Sandra Parada.
